Smoother Cable Clutch

I read a past posting on lubricating the bell housing clutch arm top bushing. Well I have taken it a bit further with some good results. I made a tool that would enable me to place into the U of the gearbox clutch arm and actuate the arm with a ½”drive breaker bar to remove the cable. I then removed the plastic inspection cover and with a modified pipe on a can of CRC White Lithium Grease I was able to some dexterity spot lubricate the following:-
Bottom Shaft Bush
Thrust bearing sliding tube assembly
Two fork contact points onto the thrust bearing
Clutch cable disconnected from arm to lub Sliding tube assembly.
Reconnect cable and have someone hols the clutch in to lub the fork contact points
The brass tube has to be bent into various shapes to get the point you want.
Care must be taken not to spray any grease on the clutch disc and pressure plate assembly!!!!
The extension tube is some modelling 1/16” brass tube with a custom made plastic adapter.
The clutch now is much smoother in operation and seems easier to depress.
