Fitting Saab roof rack to 1994 900 5 door

I have a 1994 900 5 door. Just purchased a SAAB roof rack (made by Thule) on Ebay. I thought it would fit my car just fine but I have been unable to locate the "holes" above the door near the roofline. The rack clearly has studs that need to fit in something like this. See picture below.
Did I not look hard enough? Or might it not fit? The seller said it came off of a 1997 900S 5 door. (Ebay item was 2404841368 if anyone wants to look, though this picture should be enough.) Seller also said "The bars connect directly to the car. If you open any door of the car and look on the top side of the car body, you will see two hole like shapes, this is where the brackets mount to the car."
Anybody else have experience putting this rack on a 1994 5 door? Other 900 5 door? Do I have to pull back the rubber weather seal? I thought I looked enough.... The rack does not have a part number but a small label includes the words 'SAAB 900 5D'.
Thanks,
Derek / 1994 900 SE V6 129,500mi
