I suggest that you go to a mechanic and get things inspected and fixed before you get your self or others killed!
The rear calipers can get siezed with the pad backing plated rust bound in the caliper slots. Actual siezed pistons are less likely but possible. The inboard pads can get rust bound and then that pad is not working. The outer pad does all of the work and wears out quickly and will go steel on steel. The stuck pad problem can be fixed by cleaning and lubrication. It can be prevented the same way. Yes, if some corners of the braking are weak, others are over worked. The overworked corners will find the limits of tire traction and the ABS will be active.
If you see rust on the rotors, then that surfaces pad is not working. You can only see the outboard surfaces.
It sounds like you are not a DIY person.
Do not ignore this problem. You have a responsibility to keep your vehicle in a safe to drive condition. In my opinion, some folks involved in accidents with defective brakes or tires should be charged with criminal negligence and wilful neglect. Some accidents are not accidents at all.
