Im not sure why my car pings a lot. Do these things have knock sensors?? I went and bought the right plugs, actually the colder heat ranged ones because the performance ones also pinged. Well it still pings and Im not sure why. It pings just the same on 93 octane as it does on 87. Once I ran sonoco 94 and the pinging was slightly better. no check engine codes whatsoever. Is there a way to retard the timing?

The car also hesitates at 3k rpms. It I acelerate at 0 vac, 0 boost it will stumble right as it glides past 3k rpms. Seems to worsen in the colder weather.

So whats up with my poor car??
