You probably know this, but "calling Georgia" refers to calling SAAB USA tech support. My dealer did this before with a really goofy problem that took a few diagnoses. (Long story = instrument panel.)
I agree about pulling the fuses, though. That's bogus. You're in MN. Have you tried going to Andrews of Princeton? It's worth the drive I think. (I have been there before but am no longer in MN.)
