The rotor is glued on at the factory. Squeeze the rotor using large pliers to break it off. You will *not* need great force here, so be careful. Carefully pry off remaining pieces and glue using a screwdriver. You don't need to use glue to install the new rotor -- just snap it onto the distributor shaft.
