Congrats on your purchase!! You shouldn't have too many troubles as long as the maintenance was kept up. Good thing yours is a late '94--the early ones were problem children.
The update for the front struts (common to all 94 and 95 900s) was probably already done. If it wasn't, then you would hear a a lot of noise (squeaks, rattles) and the car would feel as though it has really worn struts up front.
My '95 SEt has 210K on the odo (she had 19K when she came to live with me over five years ago). The only thing that failed before 100K was the gearbox--and Saab gave us a reman box gratis (after having it pulled twice to replace reverse gear and the synchros, the pinion shaft snapped going into 5th gear, and that was the end of the original box.) Other than the gearbox, my 900 has been trouble free and a joy to drive. I have maintained my 900 by the book--major service every 30K, LOF every 5K.
Good luck, and happy Saabing!!
