Chris, I'm just reading about your idle surge problem and what you've done. I'm in Australia with a '95 900s 2.3i with about 60,000 miles. I have the same problem. I've had it less than 3 months and already returned it once to the saab dealer. They replaces a vacuum hose and said that seemed to fix it. It was good for a few days then slowly the problem emerged again. As you said it is more noticeable when manouvering slowly, like parking.(and when the air cond. is on) My trusted saab mechanic said it is an ECU problem and can be fixed if the ECU is removed and fixed by whoever fixes ECU's. I haven't done that yet as it is still under used car warranty and is going back to the dealer again next week (so I don't have to pay). My question is did you find a solution and if so what was it. I might be able to pass it on to the dealer. Cheers, Steve Pridie
