It is located in the corner of the passenger-side front seat, to the right of the glove box.
You start by removing the door sill on the passenger side (anchor screw to rear of piece, then slide to front and pull out).
Then you need to pull the carpet back. You will need to remove 1 screw that secures the carpet to the body and the dash located lower right side of dash.
When exposed, remove 1 nut securing ECU in position, pull down and detach wiring harness (large latch on top, release, rotate detaCHED female end up 45 degrees, play with back to free the securing back side), and slide out ECU.
The tricky areas I found included:
- Manuevering ecu to free far end of wiring harness. Note that the wring harness has a knub THAT slips in a slot at the far end of the ECU, and then this is the pivot point for seating the wiring harness on the ECU pins. It can be tricky to get this knub in position or out of position.
- Getting the ECU back into position and attaching the wiring harness. This is a tight squeeze, but with patience it is not too difficult.
- Resecuring the carpet between the body and the dash with the securing bolt. You really need to pull or pry the carpet to again align the hole with the screw hole.
Hope this helps
