Cleaning brake dust from wheels

Two or three days after washing, the wheels (especially the fronts) on my 98 900S look like sh*t due to the massive amount of brake dust that my pads generate. No matter how hard I try, I can never get my wheels looking good when washing. I've read the posts which suggest changing to a different pad that don't kick up as much dust, but I've still got too much life left on these pads to just take them off and chuck 'em. Can someone recommend to me a good spray on cleaner that will disolve the dust but not ruin my wheels?
