My experience with one 1997 900S and 75K miles:
Both pulleys for serpentine belt very worn at 72,000 (replaced one pulley & switched to short belt setup).
At about the same time the oil pressure switch (failed open - no oil light on start up) and thermostat (engine would not reach normal temperature in very cold weather) needed to be replaced.
Still using the original clutch cable, (but there is a new one in the trunk just in case).
So far items have been replaced before they stopped the car and all were straightforward DIY projects. My next planned activity is to switch to the Saab synthetic transmission oil.
I would suggest that you are probably in the “zone” for a serpentine belt/pulley replacement as preventive maintenance.
