According to the factory service manual I have which covers up to MY1996, the rear rotor diameter is different from that listed in my owner's manual for 1997.
The rotors were pretty rusty and I still had more than 1/2 of pads left (the last two winters in VT didn't help much).
And I'm sure you're right, if I had gone with new factory parts, I definitely would have seen some improvement.
I've been babying the EBC pads since I put them in. I don't know exactly what hapens with the organic binders, but the literature from EBC said that gradual break-in would extend the life of the pads and rotors.
