Anders, it's Frank Larking.
First, thanks for taking an interest in the situation
I have "geared" myself into.
Checked the hose situation out.
I think you are on to something.
The Port and "bell" this hose is attached to
does come out of the engine just above the manifold
(I had to check -- too much time spent on Classic SAABs...
I get disoriented!).
The hose then takes a right turn and runs above and across
the radiator fan (parallel) with all the other hoses and lines
tucked above the fan and behind the radiator support)}.
The hose then turns left (fabricated bend in the hose) and back
towards the engine running about 2 feet into the space to the
left of the engine (as you stand in front of the car and look
into the engine compartment).
The hose takes a pre-fab bend to the right near its end.
That's where I lose it. There has to be something it hooks up to
in the area where the coil, Power steering resevoit and other stuff
are clustered.
IF you read this something after Saturday, please don't bother to respond.
I figure I will go and visit a dealership and simply check out
a car on the lot.
Thanks for your support and coaching,
Frank
