The NG900 1994 to 9-3 1999 share the same engine management. In 1997 the brakes were made a bit bigger, the front struts were changed a bit and the hydraulic clutch and the 5spd box went to synthetic gear oil. There were other improvements, but they are definately the same beast. 2000, 2001 AND 2002 9-3'S, as well as 1999 Viggens all have the T7 engine management. But again these are all from the same family.
So most of what you read for 1994 to 2002 may relate to your vehicle.
