I own a 96 900S and I have had a strange occurence tonight. While driving 90mph and cutting across 3 lanes to get to my exit and then braking my dash lights went out. The only thing that stayed on was the SID and the foglight switch light along with the mileage reading. I stopped the car and turned it off and then on again...the lights shorted out again 20 seconds later. Then I flicked the light knob and the black panel and was able to keep the lights on for about a minute, I tried toggling the rheostat and it brightened and dimmend the lights...so I don't think it's that. A minute later the lights were out again. I had a new guage cluster installed about 500 miles ago. I checked the fuses and all were good. The light relay was also good. Now when I start the car, just the instrument panel lights up and only for about 5 seconds then it goes out. Maybe, in the morning it will be good. Any suggestions to what I should to fix it? Thanks in advance.
