Fellow enthusiasts,
Almost every time I let the parking brake off and drive away in my 97 900SE (sporting 77xxx miles), the rear wheels produce a horrid high-pitched squealing noise in accordance with what two pieces of metal being rubbed together might sound like. When I lift (engage) the parking brake one notch, the sound goes away. The noise is cyclical and varies with speed. It usually goes away after about 500-1000 feet, but sometimes it persists longer, and it is especially noticieable at low speeds. I've been to the dealer twice for this issue and they don't think it's abnormal and they haven't found any specific problemo. It's somewhat embarrasing and it can't be good for whatever things are rubbing/dragging. Any help would be thoroughly appreciated.
Chris
