You don't say what your clutch problem is. If the clutch slips, you need a new one. There is no other fix. If the pedal is low or feels gimpy it may be the cable. If the pedal is stiff it may be the cable or the throw out bearing.
The previous complaint was that the pedal was on the floor. Unless something major and unexpected had gone wrong it wasn't the clutch that caused the symptom but the cable.
If you have a receipt from a dealer or reputable shop that says the clutch was replaced 20k miles ago try going back to them for an explaination, but I doubt if you will get any satisfaction.
You should find a shop ,preferably an indi, that you trust, have them check out the car and give you a detailed report on what they've found and recommend
