DI cassette fixed misfire

While driving on the freeway 70 mph I detected a very slight misfire under heavy acceleration. I continued 25 freeway miles with barely detectable misfires. The next morning I drove 30 freeway miles with no misfires. That evening I drove 30 freeway miles with increasing misfires under any acceleration. I then drove around the neighborhood for 10 miles with significant misfires at all speeds and idle. The next 2 days I drove 30 freeway miles twice a day and had significant misfires at all speeds and idle. Changed the DIC and the problem was fixed. I never saw the CEL the entire time.
I’d like to thank the people who post to this board. Particularly the regulars (you know who you are). I bought this car used. When I called a dealer and they wanted $700 for the 65k service I thought I better learn to DIY. I went out and bought about a $100 of stuff (ramps, creeper and tools) and started following the directions of this board for the service work. With this DIC repair I figure I’ve saved $700 in just one month. It was easy. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I buy everything I can from the site sponsors.
