94 900 SET

Update on my post of last week.

Went through all the recommendations on this BB to check for low boost,following checked out:
1. No turbo leaks - went right into the red and fuel cut-off with wastegate hose removed
2. Bypass valve OK

Checked BPC, everything checked OK too, left me scratching my head. But since the part was in stock, got the mechanics to change the BPC, and the difference in boost/acceleration was almost like night and day compared with the old one.

Another thing that changing the BPC helped solve was a 'hiccup' type problem where if in a particular gear at low rpm you step on the gas, the car can't make up its mind as to whether to go or stop and starts to 'hiccup' prompting a change to a lower gear. The mechanic attributed this to the geartrain which I did not believe but decided to live with for the time being. That's gone now.
I now get an absolutely great throttle response in all gears and much better high-end turbo performance.

Thanks again to all of you and the collective wisdom on this bb.
