My changer is a Clarion CDC9250. I believe it was part of the car's original equipment, though I can't be posisive.
Yesterday, I completed my shock replacement project, i.e., I finished the front, so shocks are new all around now.. What a difference it makes in the ride. The old shocks were all but non-existent, they were so badly worn.
I didn't think to check out the CD while out on a short drive today, but did notice that a highly annoying rattle (for which I am waiting for a part) is gone. I'm now thinking that the CD skipping will disappear too. My theory is that the imbalance in the suspension caused by new rear shocks and worn front shocks was just too much for the CD changer to handsle. Now that all the shocks are new, the ride is noticably smoother.
I'll keep you posted on my findings.
