years now.
Saab changed the timing belt interval in 95 from 95K (94) to 30K intervals with the 95 and up model. The 94 was also included in this revised service schedule.

What is of high interest in your case, did the Saab dealer replace tensioner and idler pulleys at the 35K or 65K interval?

If it is no proof of that, it's just a matter of time before they fail.

If both the 35K and 65K service was done at a dealer, it should be fairly easy to find out if the tensioner assembly have been replaced by running the VIN number.

If the tensioner assembly was replaced at 35K, it should not be needed again regarding to Saabs regulation, and they did nothing wrong if not replacing it at 65K.

I have heard about a couple of cases where the new tensioner have failed after 60K, so it might be in the best interest of the owner to have the tensioner assembly replaced at every 60K interval.

We just learn as we go, and keeping an eye on this board keeps you ahead of the game.
