1994 900 SET, 99,000km
TBTC mod
K&N with 3" intake mod

After replacing the boost control valve (due to a lack of boost) the car's been running fine till about last week. Although the boost went into the proper range, the car felt anemic and seemed to struggle from about 3000 rpm up, but no misfiring. Also seemed to be a hint of raw gas in the exhaust.I didn't like the looks of the plugs; although the tips were clean and a light tan, there was a lot of carbon around the outer edges. Plugs were gapped to 0.035". All vac lines were checked, clamps on the turbo system, hooter valve, wastegate actuator, everything else was OK.
Finally on Saturday, the first misfire, but only at low rpm in a higher gear under load. Thanks to the advice of everyone on this board, the new DI in the trunk was pulled out and fitted (I did wait for the engine to cool down a little).
The car runs absolutely great now, pulls like a champ.
The old DI had only about 40,000 kms on it and was about 3 years old so it did come as a bit of a surprise. Now this one lives in the trunk to get me home when the new one goes.
