A really excellent post!
One note. A few folks have had the tensioner 13mm square recess break out. One thing that would cause excessive stress would be using a square tool that was not inserted deep enough. I suspect that 1/2" socket extensions do not go deep enough into the recess. So I recommend 1/2" square hollow steel tubing. You can find such stock at the hardware store and cut to a convenient length * . You can keep this tucked in the spare tire wheel along with a spare belt and a used serviceable upper pully for a spare. If your pully was dry and wobbley, that is not a spare... trash that and change the pully earlier on next time.
* You can wet sand it, dry and treat with gun bluing, wash wipe dry with paper towel and treat with oil.
When using a square too to move the tensioner, don't move it further than it has to go or move it to where it can't move any more and apply greater pressure. These can and do break, so watch what you are doing.
Inspect the pully once a year at least, it takes very little time.
