Hello again all!

Well thanks to recommendations, instructions, and encouragement from the Board, I made my first successful upgrade. I added the SAS bar.

As mentioned in a few of my other posts, I painted it a nice blue (aesthetics and rust protection), removed the old bar, and used the recommended grade 8 hardware.

It did not take 20 minutes. It might of, but one bolt broke off right at the end, which meant it needed to be creatively removed (go saws-all!). That took almost 20 minutes. The larger bolts almost threaded themselves, which meant very little play. All in all, not too difficult (other than that darn bolt), and it took just under 50 minutes.

My seat-of-the-pants 'short-run' experience is - what a change! The grin I get from driving just got a little bigger. I had only heard one prior dissappointment from the Board, but was not at all! The car just feels much much tighter. It used to 'float' through turns, but now I have to fight it a bit more to keep it in the turn. It just feels like I am driving the car more now. I guess it took out a bit of the 'luxury-ride,' but the 'fun-to-drive' shot way up!

The only problem now is that it really reveals the problems with my current wheels/tires (maybe shocks too?). I have new Ronal R7s (only 16s - roads bad in WNY) in the garage, and I am just waiting for time, to go out and get the fresh rubber. It will be next week.

I took lots of pics and will post them when I get them up! Thanks again everyone! Anyone out there who hasn't done it - after waiting a year, well worth the mere $150 and first upgrade.
