First charge the battary overnight with the terminals off.
Second, clean terminals and reconnect.
Third, see if the engine turns by hand. If you have an automatic tranny then if the tourque converter was not all the way lined up then that would jammthe engine and it will not turn.. When you set the engine in did it slide all the way together or did you use the bolts to force it????
Check te ground wires, all of them and see if one got left off.
A lead acid battary will read 12.8 at full charge.
That's after it has been at rest for a while...At 10.5 you need to charge overnight a 2 amps or such.
