valve cover gasket R&R question.

I am replacing the rear valve cover gasket on my 94 V6 using a post from micheal p He has the steps for changing the spark plugs(which I am also doing), but I can find no info on the vc gaskets. My problem is that the two fuel lines that feed the fuel rail right at the pressure regulator are sitting right on top of one end of the valve cover. I had a bit of trouble getting it out, and I am scared that if i have to squeeze it back in the new gasket will not be seated correctly. The two fuel hoses are rigid and do not want to move out of the way. what can i do? do I have to loosen the entire fuel rail to move them a bit? or can I just unscrew the two hoses where they connect to the regulator? I do not know how to de-pressurize the fuel lines either. of course getting hosed in the face with gas is always fun and its hot out today so maybe ill skip that. everyone seems to reply to question very quickly on this bb. so in the meantime I'll be cleaning my plug wires or something. thanks for all your help.
