OK, replacement is a last resort. I would try resetting it first. Get the radio security code if you don't have it. (See recent posts on this.)
I think there is also a separate fuse on the back of the radio head! Not just the fuse in the main fusebox.
There is some way to trigger "code in" without pulling the radio fuse or the battery, but I'm not sure what it is--hold down the band button? (Search archives.)
