Well, if the FPR would go out on only a fraction of all Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: We need to get to the bottom of this. Anders? (+), Vlad, Tue, 29 Jul 2003 09:23:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
the cars I replace fuel filter on, I would have some statistics to rely on, but as it is now I have only read and followed the talk about it on this board.
Keep in mind that usually only people with problems write to this board, and it's probably a lot of filters replaced without having any problems after.
Yes, I have replaced FPR's on both Saabs and Volvos quite a bit, but not really related to right after replacing the filter.
I have also cured slow starting by replacing the fuel pump.
Also keep in mind the parts manufacturer try to make the part as cheap as possible, and sometimes they find the rock bottom price the hard way by having almost the whole batch go bad. But it might take a bunch of years before it happens. Just like the front shocks and bushings on the 94-95 NG900.
