A few people (michaelp, Robert in Adelaide) have mentioned there being an old link about removing the intake plenum for changing the V6 valve cover gaskets. I can't seem to find it? There's lots of tidbits in the various threads but is there a nice post ala the Dean "how to's"??
Much appreciated!
Did the front one VCG yesterday. I bought a parts washer and cleaned up the the VCG exceptionally well. I used standard scientific high vacuum procedures for cleaning up the sealing surfaces and treating the new gasket. I ain't braggin or passing this along until I get everything back together and get some hot oil flowing. No sense relaying untested information! The heads were pretty clean and free of sudge or deposits. Just a little near where I suspect the VCG was leaking. OF course the back one is the real test!
thanks,
Chris
