I am typing away at 3:30 am and am not sure if the last message on the behavior of the dash LED of my 96 SET, i just finished, got through. If I am repeating myself, sorry.
After getting some feed back on the mystery behavior of the LED light on the dash of my 96 SET, I felt a bit more relaxed as there seemed to be no really horrible consequences reported. However, although there seemed to be nothiing bad happening, I did a little more investigation. The security system, which the LED is tied to was apparently working OK. The doors would lock and unlock with the button on the key chain controls and the system would arm and disarm itself. However, In making further investigation I saw that when the Security System was armed, the alarm went off when the passenger side door was unlocked with the key, but when the driver's side was unlocked with key with the system armed, the alarm did not go off. It is still going with the LED on while driving. Any ideas with this new info.
Also, in reading the material on this type of problem, I saw there were rituals followed [ex turning certain stuff off and on in certain sequences that had the effect of shutting problems and nuisances such as this down,
Thanks WB
