used when the car have R134a from factory. Esther oil is only used when converting an R12 system over to R134a.
And the amount of oil that your cars A/C system takes is all depending on how much oil that is left in the system.
If an A/C system is completely drained of all oil the full amount is 200ml (approx 6.7 oz).
But most of the time it is oil left in the A/C condenser/evaporator and piping. So when doing an A/C service it is important to do an estimate of how much oil is left to determine the amount to charge.
Most of the time an oil charge of 3-4 oz is sufficient.
