Year?
You have a thermostatically controlled oil cooler on your engine now.
Early production, 94->97? had a hanger for the cat that was a rigid bolt up affair. The stress from the down pipe expanding caused these hangers to crack (DUH). These cracked hangers will cause a variety of different sounds.
The new style is a rubber hanger that bolts in place of the old one.
So check that first.
It sounds like you have a autotrany. The mounts change over time and that might be a factor too.
A head gasket problem would/should not cause a rattle as you describe. Head gasket problems show up as oil leaking to the outside, or oil in the coolant, coolant in the oil or exhaust pressure blowing coolant out of the pressure relief cap. Coolant in oil can whip up to a cream color. If your oil looks good and the coolant looks good and you are not loosing any coolant or oil you are probably not having a HG problem. I had 150K on a 95SET and had no HG problems and was running higher boost pressures. I was getting ready to retorque the head bolts as preventative maintenance but my 95SET suffered a different fate.
