So, I pushed the OFF and AUTO buttons simultaneously (thanks a lot SaabScott) and it displayed "0" for about 5 seconds and then "1" for the remaining time to about 30 seconds. Then the display slowly flashed through all of the vent combination pictographs. But it didn't seem to help - I turned the car off and let it set for about 5 minutes and when I started it again, the darn rear defroster comes on. Argh.
It seems to act as if it thinks it's 20 degrees colder in the cabin than it really is, but I'm not really sure since I've only owned the car 3 weeks and have never had anything as fancy as this ACC system. The AC kicks in only when I set the temp to 62 or 64, and it's 85 outside right now.
Does the "1" in the display indicate that there is one fault in the ACC system? The temp sensor perhaps?
Theo, I would be eternally grateful if you could hook me up with another sensor. E-mail me at david@davidbasch.com to work out the details.
Thanks,
David
