The miles are low for the year but there is a lot of aging going on. The upper mounts are probably shot and the shocks might be or are on their way. So replace both. If you are into DIY, detailed instructions are available. KYB upper mounts from tirerack.com will save a lot of money. If the OEM thrust bearings in the upper mount look good when cleaned, repack and use them, otherwise use the bearings that come with the KYB mount.
So you have to choose shocks. Performance or not? Cost an issue? By wainting to this age the cost of the parts and work becomes significant compared to the book valve of the vehicle. So if you expect to trade the vehicle in the next couple of years, you will want to keep the costs down as these will not be recovered. Tirerack has some options for shocks, and there are others as well.
