I was told the old pump was bad by Paul Noury at Saabtech here in NH. He tested it and it was pumping far under what it should. I replaced it wholesale, tank and all, with a known good unit from my 1996 which had been totalled. In my haste to complete this project, I broke the return fuel line at the cheap plastic quick release elbow, and replaced the whole return line with a new one from saab. I haven't opened the fuel rail, but the throttle has no effect on the cranking, so I assume no fuel is present, nor can I smell any from the TBTC. I will double check the lines, but since I was replacing one, I can't imagine I messed this up. I do hear a buzzing from the rear from the pump. I am so frustrated with this car that its increasingly harder to drag myself to the driveway after a long day of work at my real job. Did I mention I am 18? haha ;) Not that it really matters beyond explaining all these little problems.
Thanks for the advice, I will recheck the lines tommorrow, hopefully I can attempt this through the hole in the backseat.
Thanks again Anders,
Nicholas
