Hi fellow Saabers...
Can anyone help me with diagnosing this problem? I have a '96 SET w/76k. Just started developing couple days ago. After leaving the car parked outside overnight (in Michigan, over night temp is falling to about low 50F's), I try starting the car and then 'keeeeck'. Then second time, it would start. I've heard it in other cars before. I don't know what it is. It sure is not pleasant to hear. My suspision is that this is the sign of starter solenoid going bad? Anyone have any ideas or past experience? Just a note... since i bought the car 4 months ago, radiator hose blew, headbolts were loose, so changed the head gasket, heat shield in exhaust replaced. Still needs new motor mount, and now this. Has not been a very reliable car, but I'm getting lots of experience :)
Thanks,
Jim from Michigan with too many Saabs, and still adding to the collection - HELP!
