Clutch Cable installed, now car won't start, NEED HELP!

I just got the clutch cable installed and everything put back together, now when I went to start the car it sounds like the starter is not engaging, it just make a fast spinning noise and the car doesn't even try to start.
Why would this be happening right after I installed the clutch cable? Could I have messed up some wiring? Or does it have something to do with the battery?
I need my car in a hour, can someone help, fast?
