I am currently running 205/55-16 Cooper Zeons. I decided to be the guinea pig, and they work well so far. The tread pattern is very similar to both the SO3s and the PZeros, which were the other two I was considering. Yokohomas were on the list as well.
I am running Michelin Artic Alpin tires in the winter, and last year's mess was no match! And they perform pretty well in the dry stuff too. Definately need a set of snows if you get any kind of winter weather. It always blows my mind when I read the reviews, and the statement is made that [insert summer high performance tires here] tires are awful in the snow. No Kidding!!! And put the winter tires on a set of steelies.
As for the speedo error. I asked the dealer (found out in a reply from REM) about setting the size to the new tire. I guess in the NGs (I think REM said all, but maybe not 98) all that could be changed was the size (ie. 15,16,17). However, they hooked it up, and the TECH II said the speedo read correct, so maybe it did take care of any 'from factory' error.
Hope this helps!
