I just bought a 1997 SE convertible, my first Saab. Love it. I have some questions I thought might get answers here.
I need to replace a front foglight bulb. The recommended wattage is 55w. I am looking at some hella 100w. I know the pitfalls of using high wattage bulbs. If I use a relay to resolve the wiring heating, will the refector and housing hold up to the heat? I can see the lenses are glass, what is the housing and reflector made from? If, as in most cases it is just going to damage the housing I don't want to do it.
The gas cap doesn't have a tether. The back of the filler door has 2 fingers that looks like a rest bracket for the gas cap but the cap doesn't fit it. Is this right or do I have an incorrect gas cap?
The glove box light doesn't work even after replacing the bulb. Before I go on a wire chase, is this a common problem with a known solution?
