So which IC does the vehilce have?
The BOV if open at idle will never have any effect on idle on a T5 vehicle. The issue is not having unfiltered air injested.
High boost should not be an issue as things are steady state and the valve should always be tight. Its during boost build up that their could be a transient leak. I don't know if you would hear that.
So you are using the 25mm hose adapter and clamping where the BPV was? Watch that the engine movement does not attack the BPV's hose barb and cut the hose. With my TruboXS BPV on a 95SET, it fitt nicely between the rad and the cowel above. I cut the coupler hose shorter to get the BPV in tigher. I did niot have any problems with that mount for the BPV. The BOVs are shorter than the BPVs.
I installed the adapter with loctite on the set screws, and built up the adaper OD where it fits into the valve will aluminum tape. So the adaper was centered when clamped.
