I just bought this car yeah yeah I have already been lectured by my Saab fanatical friends. "It's not a real Saab" they call it a "Chevy 900". "Putting a GM engine in a Saab in vorse then putting a John Deer engine in Porche", "How is your Saab Lumina doing today??" I have heard it all. Anyway the car was in such great shape and I got such a great deal that even my most loyal Trollhättan nut of a friend was envious when I brought the car home. Now to my (only) two problems.
1.Every now and then when I try to start my car the starter will not engage. Instead I hear click click click click click and all the lights on the panel flashing with the clicks.
2.When I bought the car it had a pin hole in a coolant hose and the "cockpit" heater did not work. I took the car back they replaced the hose and said the heater did not work because it was airbound (due to the leak). No more leak but the heater still does not deliver the amount of hot air you would expect from an arctic car like this. Could the heater still be somewhat airbound?? or was the air bound thing all BS?
