A-pillar exterior windshield trim: help needed!

Hi
I posted several weeks ago about a bungled windshield replacement, about how Safelite (the autoglass company) broke my A-pillar trim (driver's side) and the cowl trim didn't meet the cowl. They were able to re-seat the cowl trim, but the A-pillar trim is causing problems.
Safelite ordered a new A-pillar trim and came to install it last week. The installer couldn't make it fit right, and broke the parts which hold the mounting tabs, so they had to order another new trim piece.
Today a new installer came out with a new A-pillar trim, and he simply couldn't make the clips go in to the holes designed for them. The clips seemed to be at the wrong angle to fit in to the mounting holes. The installer and I were able to make the bottom 2 clips fit, but not the top two.
Do any of you have any experience replacing the A-pillar trim? If so, can you offer any hints about its replacement? I'm getting pretty tired of dealing with these inept installers, and of driving around with my car looking taken-apart. Thanks in advance for your help.
