Lower ball joint question

I am trying to replace a CV boot today on my 1994 900S (5spd). I got stuck trying to get the lower ball joint nut off, it is on there really good. There is also no room to work down there, you can only get an open face wrench in there. Any tips on getting this off? Already soaked it with liquid wrench, don't want to round it off.
Second question is even if I do get the nut off, it looks so tight down there I don't know how I would get my ball joint separator tool in there. I have one of those two piece things, I don't think the top part will fit between the joint and the bolt. How have others done this?
Thanks for all the great help! Any other tips appreciated!
