Hello,
The speaker surround (passenger side) that is plastic and has 3 screws apparent from the inside of the trunk is vibrating when bass is being played. It won't rattle but will instead make a slight hum and pop depending on the level of bass. I took of the grilles and revealed that was not the problem. I removed the 3 screws along the outer edge in the trunk and the rattle basically goes away. Then I line up those clips and then the screws and tighten them. The hum and pop is back. But if I push down between the 2 screws (the 1 farthest inward to the passenger cabin and the 1 in the middle of the 3 screws) the vibration goes away and all is good. Are the clips not catching or is it something else? Should I try sanding down the clips? Please help.
