1) Around the taillight assemblies. The taillight assemblies are sealed to the body using a foam rubber gasket. If the gsaket is torn or unseated, water may leak around the tailights. Replace the gasket or use silicone sealant to seal the taillights.

2) There are 2 drain tubes for the sunroof behind the carpet, one on each side of the hatch near the rear corners. The drain tubes exit the hatch thru a foam rubber plug in the bottom of each hatch area corner. Sometimes the drain tubes come loose from the plug and drain into the hatch area. The drain tubes can be reinserted into the foam plug and held in place with a cable tie or silicone sealant.

3) There is a drain tube for the radio antenna. Sometimes this drain tube comes loose from either the antena of the foam ruber plug in the rear corner of the hatch area. Reconnect the drain line and secure with a cable tie or silicone sealant.

4) At least one person has idicated that water leaked in through a mis-aligned gasket aroung the fuel filler tube. The gasket can be seen and inspected from behind the carpet in the hatch area. Realign the gasket if needed and secure with silicone sealant.

5) The rear shock absorber rubber washers/bushings are sealed to the body with mastic. If the rubeber like mastic has come loose or the rear shocks have been replaced without the mastic, then water could leak in around the rear shock bushings. Check for evidence of a water leak from the bushings and reove the bushings and apply a non hardening mastic like Permatex Form-A-Gasket No. 2, then reassemble the bushings.

6) There has been a rare reported instance of water leaking in around the fixed rear side window in the 5-door vehicles. Application of silicone sealant reportedly fixed the problem.
