Hi

The manual of my '95 900s states that I should only use Saab brand coolant to avoid damage to the engine. OK.

I bought a gallon of Saab antifreze coolant yesterday at my dealer, stating it was for my 1995 Saab 900 2.3i. $11.00, easy.

Mixed some of the blue fluid with equal amount of water to top off my coolant reservoir. When I opened the reservoir, the coolant inside wasn't bluish colored. It was murky nondescript grayish/yellowish color.

Is it bad to have added the new blue coolant to the murky stuff already in there? The coolant was flushed/changed at a Saab dealer 15K miles ago, so I'd assume they used the recommended (blue) coolant, but I wonder why it doesn't look blue anymore. Could the coolant be contaminated with rust, giving the different color?
