Georgia. ABS control module was replaced by closest Saab dealer in Columbia, SC. The part is about 1250.00 from Saab, but check the fine print in the owner's manual. My 1994 was covered under warranty (this part specifically) for 7 years, 70,000 miles. After I pointed this paragraph out to the dealer who was ready to charge me for it, they replaced it in twenty minutes for free.
As I said, my car is a 1994 model, this policy or the ABS control module supplier/design could have changed with the later models, possibly sometime after 1995-1996 when they changed some of the brake stuff around. Don't know what policy is on later models.
I CAN tell you it is the standard 4/50 on my 00 9-3, no special coverage there, and it looks quite different than the one on my 94 model. I would write to Saab on this one, and see if they can help out, especially if you have had several Saabs over the years. They respect owner loyalty and have helped me on stuff long after the warranty was out. Maybe that is why I am on Saab #6.
