Take your time and you should be fine. Do you have a digital camera? Take a photo and print it out so you know what it is to look like or sketch it out.

I suggest the new parts only because if you have it apart it seems to make sense. Your car is now 7 years old and the springs, caps and clips get yucked up. Most probably can be reused with no probkems at all.

Putting the emergency shoes back on is a bit tricky if you do not have the proper tools but it can be done. I used a small socket with an extension on it. The pin goes through the back of the plate(you will see it. The shoe goes on, then the spring and the retaining clip to hold the show on. The trick is compressing the spring so the clip can hook onto the . I held the pin on the rear with one hand while I compressed the clip and the spring on the front side. Once you push it in enough you will turn the clip and it will secure itself.

It sounds difficult but it is only a small Pain in the @ss.

I say go for it.

Use PB blaster on the rotor retaining screw on both side and the with a big phillipsand constant pressure turn carefully. I struck a hammer on the screwdriver to help loosen things up a bit and it orked with no problem.

When you're done use waterproof brake grease and put it all over the pivot mechanism and all contact points that do not touch the braking suface.
