I think on the 1999 and over cars the belt configuration is like the short belt modification. If you do a search on the board you will see that almost every aspect of that modification was talked over. I did the modification myself in my backalley, took less than an hour to do it. I doubt any garage will do the short belt modification. Pulley was $35.00 at the dealer, $42.00 for the belt at the GM dealer ($27.00 for the Power Torque belt at Canadian Tire).
There's two or three places in Montreal, I went at garage Scandia once (on Mayrand st.) close to Decarie and the Met. Was satisfied with the a/c repair, looked honest.
Hundreds of people did the modification, if your not sure, just replace the pulley and replace the SAAB belt at the same time, it take the same amount of time but more expensive.
