(previously posted on 900 BB by mistake)
My '96 900 has ongoing water leak from AC on to left front carpet. Drips coming down in left foor area to left of transmission hump (I'm purposely not using driver/passsenger side lingo as I am in Australia - those references are confusing in existing BB entries because it isn't clear what country entries are from)
What could leak be coming from? I took out glove box and see drips coming off black plastic boxy thingy? Is that where evaporator/air box is located? Do left and right drives have same or different AC equipment location behind the dash? (NOT clogged drain hole as it is clean).
This car was in front-end accident in April,2000 (going into Aussie winter when AC not used). Car was fixed and leak started Nov of 2002 when first used AC for the year. Could front end crumpler (nothing farther back than the radiator and hood) crack the air box under the dash or loosen a connection?
I fear this repair because of the layers of gizmos that would need to be removed and reinstalled if problem is deep in the bowels under the dash.
